1. Dust-proof/Splash-proof IP65 Rating

A special structure where the base is positioned upside down to position the opening at the bottom which achieves high dust-proof/splash-proof performance of IP65 for the first time with slider-type ROBO Cylinders.

2. Compact

IAI’s splash-proof single-axis robots (ISWA series) have been made smaller to approx. 60% in cross-section area ratio while keeping the excellent splash-proof performance of ISWA robots. (60% is based on comparison of ISWA-S and RCP4W-SA5C)

3. Mount on the Wall or the Ceiling

Wall-mounting brackets and ceiling-mounting brackets are available as options, which significantly increase the freedom of installation.

4. Installable on All Four Sides of the Top, Bottom, Left and Right of the Table

The table positioned in a manner wrapping around the actuator, has tapped holes on all four sides of the top, bottom, left and right to increase the freedom of actuator installation.

5. Choice of Grease

You can select either industrial grease (Daphne Eponex No.2)(standard) or food grade grease (Medallion FM No.1) for the guides and ball screw in the actuator.

The RCP2W fully conforms to IEC IP67. 7 - Watertight: Even if the actuator is immersed in water under specific conditions, water does not enter. 6 - Dust: Complete protection, and dust will not enter the system. Magnetic coupling structure (patent pending) Thrust is transmitted via magnetic attraction force to achieve complete sealing around the ball screw. Optional cover type actuator You can select the cover typ3e that protects guides and other sliding parts.

The lineup of splash-proof sliders has been extended.
You can now choose a splash-proof actuator of desired size to match your specific application.

Series Features

• The new slider structure keeps water out of the internal parts. When air purge is performed, the robot conforms to IP65. (Note 1) The high-speed robot achieves a maximum speed of 1,000 mm/sec. (Note 2)
• The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, so heavy loads can be transferred effortlessly. (Note 3)
• The high-precision specification (ISPWA) with a C5-equivalent precision rolled screw boasts a positioning repeatability of +/-0.01 mm. The standard specification (ISWA) also ensures high accuracy equivalent to +/-0.02 mm.
• Select from the three sizes of S (94 mm wide), M (125 mm wide) and L (155 mm wide).

Notes On Use

The ISWA/ISPWA must always be used in a horizontal application in the specified orientation. Be sure to observe this requirement, since water will enter the housing if these robots are positioned on their side or used in a vertical application. The protection class of each splash-proof model indicates protection against entry of water. Please contact IAI if you require protection against oil and coolant. Be sure to implement purge air if the robot is used in a humid place (humidity of 85% or more). The purge air must be clean, dry air supplied from an air drier.
