EC – Engine Block Part Inspection Process
Mechanism for moving a sensor up and down to measure heights
of engine block parts
of engine block parts
In this process, heights of engine block parts on a conveyor are measured using a height measuring
sensor attached to the tip of a rod, to determine whether the parts are good or defective. When an air cylinder system was used, abrupt stopping caused height measuring sensor displacement, resulting in false judgments. After adopting the current ELECYLINDER® system, which allows for adjustment of AVD (Acceleration, Velocity, Deceleration), we can now minimize these stopping shocks. The result is no more false judgments caused by sensor angle deviation.
