Faster Program Processing Time
XSEL controller with a more powerful internal CPU means a higher processing speed. The result is quicker processing of SEL language commands, which in turn leads to faster program processing time.
Improved Functions
Significantly greater data capacity than conventional XSEL controllers.
All XSEL-RA/SA models come standard with Ethernet and USB ports as PC software interface and general-purpose message communication interface.
Extended Motion Control
Up to 32 IAI position controllers of the Mechatrolink III specification can now be connected together and program-controlled from an XSEL controller.

With up to 8 axes connected to the XSEL controller, one controller can operate/control up to 40 axes. Operation with positioner function and synchronous control function (*) is possible.

* SCARA robot controllers do not support the synchronous control function.

Easy Control of External Equipment
The position data table now has additional output operation data fields. Signals to control external equipment with can be output for each target position with ease. This eliminates the time to create a program that was needed to output signals in the past.
Supports Field Networks (optional)
One network selected from the group that includes "DeviceNet," "CC-Link" and "Profibus" can be combined with either "EtherNet/IP (*)" or "EtherCAT."
* Ethernet communication is also supported.
