EC – Device for Inserting Metal Parts into Plastic Bases

This device inserts a metal part into a plastic base frame in an electronic part assembling process.

When inserting a metal part, it is necessary to slow down for the last 1mm. For this reason, a spring was used at the tip of an air cylinder for the insertion process.
Some defects were observed when the spring deteriorated over time.

The ELECYLINDER® can control D (deceleration), allowing positioning at a low speed and indication of an error when stopping (defective products) before the forward end. Since the ELECYLINDER® needs no spring, there are no defects caused by the deterioration of the spring.
