IAI controllers are available to be selected from 3 different types of movement patterns such as Positioner, Program, and Pulse train depending on customer's control.
Please choose from our substantial product lineup in accordance to the use.
Feature 1 : Making Compact Industrial Robots Even Easier to Use
You can operate your single-axis/cartesian robot according to the following 3 types of control method.
Positional Operation
All you need is to specify position numbers from the host PLC via PIOs, and the actuator will move as commanded.
Program Operation
By creating a program, the host device is no longer required. Also, the SEL language lets anyone, even a beginner, program complex operations with ease.
Pulse-train Input Operation
The actuator can be controlled with pulse trains using a positioning module, etc.
You can perform desired positioning operations without worrying about position data.
Feature 2 : High Functionality, High Performance
- ● XSEL controller is available to register 128 programs, multi-task 16 programs, and position up to 20,000 points.
- ● XSEL contoller is capable of operating an actuator with up to 6 axes and total of 2400W.
- ● Single-axis controller is capable of operating an actuator with up to 750W.
- ● "Push & Hold Operation" where the slider is held in position while pressing against the load can be performed as in similar operations achieved with an air cylinder.
- ● Connectable to field network such as DeviceNet, CC-Link, ProfiBus, and Ethernet.
Feature 3 : Substantial Extended I/O Board
Extension I/O board, serial I/O board, and network board (DeviceNet, CC-Link, ProfiBus, Ethernet) can be used as an option in the XSEL controller as well as the standard PIO (input 32 points/output 16 points)
Feature 4 : Safety
Controllers comply with European safety standards (EU directive) and CE marking.
Lineup with “Global Specification” corresponding to other ANSI robot standards and Safety Category 4.
It is safe to take equipment overseas.
ANSI-compatible teaching pendant is required in order to correspond to ANSI standards.

Positioner Type
The positioner type controller stores positions to which the actuator is moved by specifying a target position number.
In particular, PMEC/AMEC, PSEP/ASEP controllers specify 2 or 3 positions and can be operated with the same signals used for an air cylinder.
